Blue Swedish Ducks

A Rare Breed of Swedish Origin

Blue Swedish
Blue Swedish Duck.

This is a heavy duck – essentially a meat breed. It is believed to have originated in Sweden, but it has never been common except in Germany and Scandinavia.

They stand out because of their unusual colouring of slate-blue with a white blotch on the throat and upper breast. They are very rare in New Zealand.
