The Silver Appleyard duck is a British breed that lays well and produces a good sized carcass. They grow quite fast and are better known for their table rather than their laying qualities.

They were developed by Reginald Appleyard in the 1930s whose aim was to “create white-skinned duck with a wide, deep breast, which would also be beautiful to look at and would lay abundant white eggs.”
