Enderby Cattle Breeding Strategy
A paper entitled Enderby Island Cattle: A Breeding Strategy for Genetic Conservation has been compiled by Laura Backus, a senior exchange student from Colorado State University at Lincoln University where she studied biology and animal science. Originally intended for a 300-level Animal Breeding and Genetics class, it has been slightly modified and reformatted to facilitate electronic transmission, and has been made available to the Rare Breeds Conservation Society of New Zealand. In the paper, Laura summarizes the Enderby Cattle Project to the present day, and discusses strategies that might be applied for the future survival of this breed. » Enderby Island Cattle: A Breeding Strategy for Genetic Conservation may be downloaded by clicking on the preceding title.
