Dexter cattle are of Irish origin, and are the oldest and naturally smallest of British cattle breeds – descending directly from the world’s oldest known domestic cattle. Nowadays they are found several countries throughout the world but only in relatively small numbers.
We invite you to take a stroll through our site and meet some of our all-dun Dexter herd. Dun is the rarest of the three Dexter colours, and the Summer Wine purebred dun herd is unique in New Zealand.
